Question 1

Is Linked Calculator free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Linked Calculator is free to use, without an account.

Question 2

Where are my workspaces saved?

Accepted Answer

Only in your own browser, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to a server. Clearing your browser data will remove saved workspaces.

Question 3

How do linked results work?

Accepted Answer

A calculator can use the current result of another calculator in its own formula. Change the source calculator and every calculator linked to it recalculates instantly.

Question 4

Can I link results on my phone or tablet?

Accepted Answer

Yes — use the “Use result” button and pick the calculator you want. Dragging results between calculators only works on desktop.

Question 5

How do percentages work?

Accepted Answer

Like on a classic calculator: right after + or −, entering a number followed by % adds or subtracts that percentage of the first number (200 + 10% = 220). With other operators, % is treated as its own value.

Question 6

Can I change how numbers are displayed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each calculator has a format selector with plain numbers, currency and percentage formatting.

Question 7

How do I delete a calculator or a workspace?

Accepted Answer

Use the trash icon on a calculator card to remove that calculator. Open the Workspaces menu to rename, switch or delete a whole workspace.

Question 8

What are templates, and can I make my own?

Accepted Answer

Templates are ready-made sets of linked calculators, grouped by category — the Most popular section shows the templates people open the most, followed by Business (Profit Calculator, Add VAT Calculator, Remove VAT Calculator, Freelance Hourly Rate Calculator, Freelance Retainer Calculator, Job Quotation Calculator), Finance (Discount Calculation, Compound Interest Calculator, Wedding Budget Calculator), Fun & Trending (Age Calculator, Screen Time of Life Calculator), Health (BMI Calculator, TDEE & Calorie Deficit Calculator), Investments (Dividend Income Calculator, FIRE Calculator) and Real Estate (Mortgage Need) — where you only fill in the numbers. You can also build your own: add a calculator per input, link them into the result you need, and keep it in its own workspace. From then on it works just like a built-in template: change the inputs and everything recalculates.

Question 9

Can I share a workspace with someone else?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open the “Share, Export This Workspace” button next to the workspace name and choose a sharing option. The short link contains your whole calculation: names, numbers, the links between the calculators and the formatting. Send it via WhatsApp, e-mail, X or LinkedIn, or copy it. No account is needed. To keep the link short, the workspace details are stored with the link itself so it always opens — everyday calculating stays entirely on your device.

Question 10

Can I export my calculations as PDF?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open the “Share, Export This Workspace” button next to the workspace name, choose “Export as PDF”, then select Save as PDF in your browser’s print dialog. You can also print the overview on paper. It is useful for keeping a budget, sending a price calculation or documenting an investment estimate.

Question 11

Does the PDF show calculator names and linked results?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The PDF includes your workspace name, the date, and every calculator’s letter, name, formula and result. When a formula uses another calculator’s result, the reference shows that calculator’s name and value. Connected steps are marked as linked, so the calculation remains easy to follow.

Question 12

What is the difference between a PDF and a workspace link?

Accepted Answer

A PDF is a snapshot of your calculations at the time of export: it is suitable for reading, saving and printing, but its results do not update. A workspace link opens an editable copy in Linked Calculator, where the recipient can change inputs and the connected results recalculate.

Question 13

What does the person who opens my link receive?

Accepted Answer

An exact copy of your workspace as a new workspace in their own browser, ready to keep calculating on. Their existing workspaces stay untouched, and your workspace never changes — it is a copy, not live collaboration.

Question 14

Do I need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Linked Calculator works immediately, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
